The typeface that made a city feel slower

Some stories begin with a question. Others begin with an image, a conversation, or a small detail that refuses to leave your mind. Having a place to collect them is often the first step toward finding out what they mean.

Glass is a Ghost theme by Bright Themes built for those collections: essays, observations, conversations, and things worth sharing. Its frosted glass surfaces and expressive backgrounds give the publication a distinct atmosphere, while the writing remains at the centre.

A different kind of backdrop

A publication’s surroundings shape how we experience it. The colours, the typography, the space around a paragraph: each contributes to the feeling of arriving somewhere and wanting to stay.

Glass brings translucent surfaces together with background imagery, allowing colour and texture to show through the page. The effect gives the content a sense of place, from the first introduction to the final line of an article.

Light, colour, and a little room to let the eye wander.

There is a pleasing connection between this visual style and the act of publishing. An image can set a mood before the reader reaches the first sentence. A carefully chosen background can become as recognisable as a name or a voice.
